The Kellogg Community College women’s soccer season opens this month and includes a half dozen home matches on the College’s North Avenue campus in Battle Creek.
This year’s roster of 14 includes just two returning players with a dozen new faces under the leadership of third-year Head Women’s Soccer Coach Levi Butcher.
This year’s roster includes:
- Freshman midfielder Emilia Braman (Battle Creek/Pennfield High School)
- Freshman defender Berlynn Conley (Plainwell/Plainwell High School)
- Freshman defender Jessie Cummins (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School)
- Freshman midfielder Allison Dietzel (Portage/Portage Central High School)
- Freshman defender Aubrie Evans (Gobles/Allegan High School)
- Freshman goalkeeper Airanna Griecci (Chelsea/Chelsea High School)
- Freshman midfielder Haley Hinds (Quincy/Quincy High School)
- Freshman midfielder/forward Lucy Lampart (Kalamazoo/home school)
- Freshman forward Aubrey Phenicie (Kalamazoo/Portage Central High School)
- Returning sophomore midfielder/forward Rayna Richardson (Austin, Texas/Gateway College Preparatory School)
- Freshman forward Sophia Saunders (Otsego/Otsego High School)
- Returning sophomore midfielder Lydia Schamanek (Cadillac/Cadillac High School)
- Sophomore forward Bella Smith (Mount Pleasant/Mount Pleasant High School)
- Freshman defender Jenna Vogel (Battle Creek/Pennfield High School)
Butcher will again be joined on the field this year by assistant coaches Hunter Garland and Maggie Harma.
The Bruins open the season with an away match against Lake Michigan College on Saturday, Aug. 19, in Benton Harbor. The team’s first home match will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23, against Grand Rapids Community College on campus in Battle Creek.
