The Kellogg Community College Concert Band has plans to leave the audience bewitched with a spooky mix of melodies presented at its annual Halloween concert this month in Battle Creek.

The band, performing under the baton of Director Christopher Momcilovich, will present its “Mystic Melodies” concert starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in the Binda Performing Arts Center on campus at 450 North Ave.

The event is free and open to the public.

This hauntingly spectacular musical event promises to enchant audiences with a spine-tingling blend of diverse classical and contemporary compositions that capture the spirit of the season, including:

  • Hector Berlioz’s “The Damnation of Faust”
  • Rob Grice’s “Haunted Carnival”
  • Steve Reineke’s “The Witch and the Saint”
  • Robert W. Smith’s “Incantations”
  • John Williams’ “Chillers and Thrillers”
  • Music from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” by Danny Elfman
  • Beloved tunes from “Scooby-Doo”

Director Christopher Momcilovich said the selections promise to evoke the eerie and enchanting spirit of the Halloween season.

“Our ‘Mystic Melodies’ concert will take our audience on a musical journey through the realms of mystery and magic,” Momcilovich said. “It’s a perfect way to celebrate the Halloween season with friends and family.”
