KCC Foundation to celebrate “Bruins Week of Giving” Nov. 27-Dec. 1

The Kellogg Community College Foundation will mark the national Giving Tuesday movement next week with a weeklong “Bruins Week of Giving” campaign to benefit students.

Bruins Week of Giving, which will run Monday, Nov. 27, through Friday, Dec. 1, will include a College-wide employee food drive in support of the campus Bruin Baskets initiative, which offers free healthy snacks to students free of charge, as well as opportunities to donate to the following KCC student-centered causes:

“Giving Tuesday is a great way to invest back into the KCC community, and your donation makes a huge impact in the lives of our students,” Teresa Durham, executive director of the KCC Foundation, said. “We encourage our College staff, alumni and friends to give throughout the week with the assurance that each dollar given will be directly invested to support KCC students.”

Giving Tuesday is a “global generosity movement” created in 2012 as a way to celebrate generosity and encourage people to give and do good works. In 2022 in the U.S. alone, the initiative inspired $3.1 billion in donations. For more information, visit givingtuesday.org.
