Kellogg Community College’s women’s bowling team won the Michigan Community College Athletic Association Bowling Championship Friday, the first state championship in women’s bowling history at KCC.

KCC’s Women’s Team Champions at the MCCAA Bowling Championship, hosted by Schoolcraft College at Merri-Bowl Lanes in Livonia, include:

  • Sophomore Abigail Grimm (Climax/Homer High School)
  • Sophomore Gillian Lemon (Marshall/Marshall High School)
  • Freshman Isabelle Pachan (Bellevue/Olivet High School)
  • Freshman Brooklyn Page (Three Rivers/Three Rivers High School)
  • Sophomore Brianna Pawloski (Olivet/Olivet High School)

It was an especially huge day for Page, who in addition to contributing to the team championship finished the day as Women’s Singles Champion and Women’s All-Event Champion.

The men’s team also competed Friday, finishing ninth in their respective tournament.

“The ladies had a tremendous day and are coming home with plenty of hardware to prove it,” Head KCC Bowling Coach Brad Morgan said. “Today was a great day all around for the KCC bowling program. I am very proud of both of my teams!”

The KCC bowling teams play next at the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XII Meet Friday, Feb. 16, at Royal Scot in Lansing.
