After serving a record of more than 1,000 campers during summer day camps last year, Kellogg Community College is again offering more than 60 youth day camps for youth ages 5 through 18 this summer.
Registration is open now and can be completed entirely online at kellogg.edu/youth. Campers get 10% off with the code EBSU24 if they register by April 15.
This year’s schedule again includes camps focused on arts and crafts, cooking and food decorating, health care, science, career camps and more, including several sports camps led by student athletes from KCC’s award-winning athletics teams.
Notable are two new Theatre Camps held in conjunction with Battle Creek’s Unity Theatre Company leading toward an August presentation of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” (ages 10-18), as well as a new “Let’s Build a Puppet!” puppet-making camp led by Clovis Bordeaux, owner of Felt Brothers Industries and creator of the popular WinterFest Variety Show.
Also notable are six career camps for middle school and high school students focused on careers in accounting, criminal justice, dental hygiene, emergency medical services and physical therapist assistant careers.

About Bruin Youth Programming
KCC’s Bruin Youth Programming initiative, administered through the College’s Lifelong Learning Department, was launched in 2016 to expand the College’s regular offerings of sports camps, Bruin Bots robotics initiatives and after-school programs held throughout the year on campuses in Battle Creek, serving kids from first grade through high school. The initiative has since expanded to serve the community through an extensive summer camp program; community events including “Blaze Goes to College” children’s book readings and the College’s annual Bruin Boo community Halloween event; and more.
In 2019, the Bruin Youth Programming initiative at KCC won a LERN International Award in Best Programming for its efforts developing educational programs for area youth. LERN (the Learning Resources Network) is the world’s largest continuing education and lifelong learning association, and offers information and consulting services to educational organizations around the globe.
