Kellogg Community College’s Admissions Office in March recognized outstanding high school counselor partners with Outstanding Counselor Awards.
The 2024 award recipients, one from each county in the greater KCC service area, include:
- Jenn Fether, Waldron High School, Hillsdale County
- Stacy Guertler, Union City High School, Branch County
- Andy McCormack, Marshall High School, Calhoun County
Additionally, KCC awarded the Russ Bortell Memorial Award to Edward Domke, Career and Technical Education Director at Hastings High School (Barry County).
This award is granted to the school counselor or employee who has shown exceptional dedication and service to their students for many years. It is named for the late Russ Bortell, a longtime KCC employee who was committed to helping students gain access to higher education and providing guidance on how to be successful in college.
The awardees are pictured with KCC officials in the photographs accompanying this release.
