That said, we know success doesn’t just happen and we have to go out there every day with a target on our back and work for it.”
The Bruins opened the season with a scrimmage against St. Mary’s College on Friday, Aug. 23, in South Bend. The team’s first home match will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, against 10th-ranked Iowa Central Community College on campus in Battle Creek.
Admission to all home games is free.
The women’s soccer team finished a record season last year that saw the team ranked as high as 18th in the nation. The team won the program’s first women’s soccer regional championship in College history, setting records for most wins and goals in a season. It was also the first time in program history the team was nationally ranked and the first time the team has ever gone to regionals in two consecutive years.
The team finished the season with a 9-5-2 conference record and a 13-6-3 record overall.
