New and transferring college students will have the opportunity to talk with admissions representatives from more than 40 four-year colleges and universities at Kellogg Community College’s Transfer Fair this month on campus in Battle Creek.
The KCC-sponsored event, which is free and open to the public, will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, in the Kellogg Room, Student Center and Binda Performing Arts Center lobby on campus at 450 North Ave.
The event offers a unique opportunity for area students to connect with the schools they’re considering at one time, in one place, where students can ask questions, gather materials and make comparisons without having to schedule multiple meetings throughout the state.
Students can learn about each institution’s programs, application deadlines, scholarship opportunities and more.
Participants are asked to register in advance or the day of at app.strivescan.com/registration, which will allow them to easily share information with the colleges they’re interested in by filling out a form. The participant will be texted and emailed a barcode that the colleges can scan, and when a college scans the barcode they will receive the participant’s information. After the event, the participant will receive an email with the contact information of the colleges that scanned them.
