Conversational English for Community Living
Three sessions to choose from, FREE
New this spring is a series of free six-week Conversational English classes designed to help non-native English speakers increase their skills and confidence speaking the language. Instruction is specifically designed to prepare speakers for everyday interactions they’ll face in the areas of health care, finance/banking and education.
KCC this spring is offering four sessions to choose from; the first session began mid-February. They’re open to everyone, regardless of native language and are offered at no cost thanks to the generous funding from the Forever Fund of the Branch County Community Foundation.
Remaining Conversational English sessions include:
- Session 2: 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, March 4-April 22 (no class April 1 or 8)
- Session 3: 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, March 5-April 23 (no class April 2 or 9)
- Session 4: 4-5:30 p.m. Thursdays, April 17-May 22
KCC’s full Lifelong Learning schedule includes more than 70 unique classes offered for personal enrichment and can be viewed now online at kellogg.edu/lifelong. Those who sign up for a class by March 7 will get an Early Bird Discount of 10% off the registration fee with the code EBSP25.
In addition to classes, the schedule also offers on-demand one-on-one computer classes focused on a topic of the student’s choice, intentionally designed for participants whose schedules don’t allow time for regularly scheduled class periods.
For those who want to learn from the comfort of home, the Lifelong Learning Department also offers online classes across more than 300 topics through online education provider ed2go.
