Kellogg Community College’s student LGBTQIA+ group Spectrum is hosting a free T-shirt tie-dye activity on campus this week for students and employees.
Spectrum’s Pri-Dye event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, in the grassy space outside between the Morris Library and the Ohm Information Technology Center. (In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Thursday, June 19.)
Pri-Dye participants will have the opportunity to tie-dye a free T-shirt with the club in celebration of Pride Month. Group members will assist participants in tying their shirt to get their preferred pattern, provide a rainbow of colors for dye and will send them off with their new shirt along with aftercare instructions for washing once the dye has set.
Spectrum is a registered student organization at KCC that works to provide a safe and supportive social setting for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies, as well as any other interested parties, and to provide educational resources to the campus community regarding issues of sexual diversity.
