Kellogg Community College had another eventful summer, serving students through more than 130 summer classes while engaging with the community in many ways on campus and off:
- Employees participated in on-campus initiatives including the new Touch a Truck and Public Safety Day in July and the College’s annual Express Enrollment Event, which saw a record turnout in August.
- KCC sponsored several off-campus community events including the Grand Cereal Parade, Juneteenth Celebration, Barry County Fair, Branch County Fair and Calhoun County Fair.
- Dozens of K-12 scholars from Battle Creek attended the RISE/Children’s Defense Fund Freedom Schools program focused on literacy, on the College’s North Avenue campus.
- Several Battle Creek Central High School students (pictured above) continued their studies on campus through the TRIO Upward Bound Summer Academy program.
The College also saw record enrollment in youth summer camps on campus.
