Kellogg Community College Theatre is holding auditions for the College’s spring musical this week on campus.
KCC is looking to cast 11 to 16 actors for roles in “Disaster!” The show is a “jukebox” musical comedy that follows a group of New Yorkers at the opening of a floating casino and discotheque, where they experience a series of disasters that correlate hilariously with the plots of various 1970s disaster movies. Popular songs from the 1970s appear throughout.
Auditions are open to students and community members alike ages 16 and up and will be held from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 4 and 5, at the Binda Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek.
Those interested in auditioning should pick just one of the two nights for their audition and come prepared with 30 seconds or so of a song to perform that highlights their voice at its strongest and most confident.
