Disco, chaos and comedy collide in March as Kellogg Community College Theatre brings the musical comedy “Disaster!” to the stage in Battle Creek.
“Disaster!” is a jukebox musical about a group of New Yorkers at the opening of a floating casino and discotheque, where a string of mishaps hilariously mirrors classic ’70s disaster films. Popular songs from the ’70s appear throughout, including music from the Commodores, the Jackson 5, Elton John, Queen, Stevie Wonder and others.
A cast of nearly two dozen actors will perform in the show, which will play over two weekends at the following times:
- 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6
- 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7
- 3 p.m. Sunday, March 8
- 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 13
- 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14
- 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15
All performances will be held at the Binda Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek.
Tickets are $10 for students, KCC employees, seniors and members of the U.S. military, and $15 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at kelloggcommunitycollege.ludus.com or at the door before each performance as supplies last.
