In 2026, Kellogg Community College’s Fehsenfeld Center campus marks 30 years of providing education and community services in Hastings. The milestone will be celebrated with a community event onsite on Thursday, June 25. The campus includes 12 classrooms, eight standard classrooms, two computer labs, a science lab and a CNA lab, along with a student lounge and open computer lab.
Fehsenfeld Center History
- 1996: The Fehsenfeld Center opens on 95 acres at 2950 West M-179 Highway, just miles from downtown Hastings
- 1997: The center is named in honor of John R. Fehsenfeld, retired superintendent of the Barry Intermediate School District and an ardent promoter of KCC in Barry County
- 2011: Following retirement of revenue bonds, KCC presents a resolution of recognition to the Barry County Board of Commissioners
- 2017: KCC unveils a new 900-square-foot CNA Lab at the center to train Certified Nursing Assistant students
- 2026: The Fehsenfeld Center celebrates 30 years of offering education and community services onsite in Barry County
