KCC commencement ceremony is May 14 at Kellogg Arena

Graduates celebrate with raised hands at the end of Commencement.

A record number of 449 graduates will walk across the stage during Kellogg Community College’s 68th commencement ceremony May 14.

The commencement program will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Kellogg Arena, 36 W. Hamblin Ave., Battle Creek, and will include addresses from KCC staff and trustees as well as remarks from KCC President Dr. Paul R. Watson II and graduate Gavin Patton as commencement speaker.

Patton, of Hastings, is graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design Technology degree.

The commencement ceremony is open to graduates, candidates and their guests; no tickets are required. Arena doors will open to guests at 6 p.m.

In total, KCC’s 2026 commencement ceremony will celebrate the accomplishments of 1,236 candidates for graduation from four semesters at KCC, including Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026. The Class of 2025 is the 68th graduating class at KCC, which was founded in 1956.
