Kellogg Community College’s men’s basketball team lost its latest away game 100-90 against Glen Oaks Community College on Saturday.
Leading the Bruins on the court were freshman Dashaan Palmer, with 22 points; freshman Tahveayr Boykins, who had 16 points and 4 assists; sophomore Ron Jamierson, with 12 points; sophomore Jamari Thomas-Newell, who had 12 points; Freshman Eddie Wesley, who had 9 points; and freshman Larry Patrick with 8 rebounds.
“The 14-point lead at the end of the first half by Glen Oaks was what made the difference for this game,” Head KCC Coach Gary Sprague said. “KCC was unable to come within single digits for the rest of the game and trailed by 22 with two minutes left in the game. Though the Bruins shot 44% for the game they were outshot by Glen Oaks, who hit 54% of their shots.”
The Bruins’ recent loss brings their overall season record to 4-10; the team’s conference record is 1-2.
The team plays next starting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, against conference opponent Lake Michigan College at the Miller Gym on campus in Battle Creek. Admission to all home KCC games is free.
