Kellogg Community College’s men’s basketball team won its latest home game 104-77 against Lake Michigan College on Wednesday.
Leading for the Bruins at last night’s home game was freshman Dashaan Palmer, who had 21 points and 7 rebounds; sophomore Ron Jamierson, who had 14 points; sophomore Gregorye Windom, who had 12 points; freshmen Tahveayr Boykins and Eddie Wesley, with 11 points each; freshman Alika Edmonds, who had 8 points; and freshman Ryan Flikkema, with 6 rebounds.
Head Coach Gary Sprague said Kellogg went on a 15-0 run to start the game and never looked back.
“They led by as much as 36 points with 14 minutes remaining in the second half,” said Sprague. “Lake Michigan came in with a couple of injured key players and could not keep up with the fast-breaking Bruins.”
The Bruins’ recent victory brings their overall season record to 5-10; the team’s conference record is 2-2.
Next for the Bruins is a trip to Mt. Pleasant to play Mid-Michigan Community College. The game starts at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.
