Martin Gray, 47, of Battle Creek, is a 1994 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School who’s completed training across disciplines at KCC’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center to help him in his career, earning credentials including an Associate of Applied Science degree in Industrial Technology and certificates in Industrial Electricity and Electronics, Industrial Technology and Industrial Trades.
Today the student has become the master, working as an adjunct instructor in KCC’s Industrial Electricity and Electronics Program. He’s also an engineering tech at Musashi Auto Parts, where he’s worked for 29 years.
Gray says he chose to study at KCC primarily because it’s local, which made the training convenient.
As an instructor and trades professional with the unique experience of seeing Industrial Trades training at KCC from both the student and instructor perspective, Gray has this advice for current or future students:
“Keep your head up,” Gray said. “The rewards feel better with a positive state of mind.”
