Kellogg Community College is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Handel Fraser as the College’s new Executive Director of the Regional Manufacturing Center, Industrial Trades and Workforce Solutions.
Fraser, who started working at KCC this spring semester, is an increasingly familiar face of KCC in the community, representing the College to employers and community partners to ensure KCC programs and courses address the needs for a skilled workforce. Additionally, Fraser manages the operations of the RMTC campus and provides leadership to faculty and staff in the Industrial Trades and Workforce Solutions departments.
Fraser comes to KCC with more than two decades of administrative experience, most recently as Vice President of Operations at Midwest Presort, one of the leading mailing presort organizations in Indiana. His many years in higher education include roles as Executive Director of Operations and Assistant Professor of Management at Oakwood University – a private HBCU in Huntsville, Alabama – from 2019 through 2023; adjunct business and accounting professor positions at Ferris State University and Southwestern Michigan College; and work as Special Assistant to the Provost at Andrews University in Berrien Springs.
“I’m extremely excited to join the staff at Kellogg Community College and further the College’s work turning local students into a skilled workforce, connecting them with area employers for the benefit of area communities,” Fraser said.
Fraser holds a Doctor of Education and a Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University in Boston; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania; and an Online Teaching Certificate from Oakwood University.
Fraser, who has three children, is also an accomplished vocalist who completed several years of voice training and instructed at the Julliard School in New York City. He sang with the Oratorio Society of New York for 13 years at Carnegie Hall and is a member of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, with which he performed a Brazilian concert tour in May.
