The Fall 2024 Semester
In total, KCC is offering nearly 280 courses this fall – including nearly 120 online courses – in addition to hundreds of Industrial Trades training modules, several cohorts of CNA training, workforce training opportunities and more. The semester begins Aug. 26 and runs through Dec. 13.
Branch County students interested in taking online classes beyond what’s offered on campus can still utilize resources at the physical Grahl Center – including open computer labs, free Wi-Fi and more – to complete their studies.
Students are encouraged to sign up for classes as soon as possible because space is limited and many classes fill up by the start of the semester.
KCC consistently ranks as the top college destination for local graduates within the College’s districts in Branch, Barry and Calhoun counties, serving more new graduates than any other college or university in the state. The College was ranked the No. 1 best community college in Michigan and among the top 5% of community colleges across the U.S. by financial services company WalletHub last summer.
Michigan Reconnect Tuition Discounts
A continuing opportunity for students considering continuing their education this fall is the popular Michigan Reconnect program, which allows eligible students ages 21 and up without a degree to take classes free or significantly discounted tuition. Most eligible Branch County students will save $160.50 per credit hour on tuition and fees via the program – a savings of more than 66%.
Students ages 21 to 24 are particularly encouraged to apply for the Michigan Reconnect program now, as the state’s expansion offering the program to this age group is only anticipated to last till November; until this past fall the program was only open to students ages 25 and up.
