Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at kccbruinyouth.ludus.com or at the door (cash or check only) while supplies last.
The “Beauty and the Beast” performances are the result of two full weeks of all-day Bruin Youth Programming theatre day camps at the College held in partnership with Battle Creek’s Unity Theatre Company.
The musical will feature a cast that ranges in age from 10 through 18 under the direction of Unity Theatre Company Director Jack Austin, Choreographer Tsea Hensel and Musical Director Logan Robertson; all three are graduates of Lakeview High School.
Based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, the stage version includes all of the songs from the movie and then some. The original Broadway production ran for more than 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The classic story follows focuses on the relationship between the young woman Belle and the Beast, who is actually a prince trapped in the body of a beast because of a spell cast by an enchantress.
