Kellogg Community College has been awarded two prestigious Best and Brightest honors from the National Association for Business Resources.
KCC was awarded a coveted 2025 West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For honor in March by the NABR. In December the College was awarded a Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness honor.
The West Michigan’s Best and Brightest award recognizes companies “that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative business acuteness and human resource practices” and that “are truly innovative in their employee engagement execution,” according to the NABR.
The Best and Brightest in Wellness award recognizes organizations for “their exceptional commitment to employee health, well-being and workplace culture,” according to the NABR.
KCC is the only higher education institution to make the 2025 West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For list and was the was the only community college in the state recognized with the Best and Brightest in Wellness honor in December.
KCC’s Chief Human Resources Officer Brooke Kolodzieczyk said the College is “beyond excited” to be honored as one of the state’s best companies for employees.

Best and Brightest Companies to Work For winners were evaluated by an independent research firm on metrics including Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Creative Wellness and Wellbeing Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment and Selection; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Civility and Inclusion; Work-Life Blend; Community Initiatives and Corporate Responsibility; and Leadership, Strategy and Company Performance.
Best and Brightest in Wellness winners were similarly evaluated by an assessment created and administered by a leading wellness research firm to gauge company wellness program effectiveness. Metrics scored include outcomes, analysis, tracking, participation and incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, culture and environment.
NABR and Best & Brightest Programs President and CEO Jennifer Kluge said in a statement that award winners “have excelled by prioritizing their workplace culture.”
“By putting their employees first, this exceptional group of top-tier leaders has created a strong foundation that sets them apart as leaders in their industries and communities,” Kluge said.
