Kellogg Community College is inviting the community to help rename the C Classroom Building on the College’s North Avenue campus.

Community members are encouraged to submit their name nominations online at https://forms.office.com/r/7dSCPKVjGb through Oct. 1. Nominators will be asked to share:

  • Their proposed building name
  • Why they believe the proposed name is meaningful to the College or community
  • Their contact information

All submissions will be reviewed in October by KCC’s Executive Cabinet, which will narrow the list to three to five finalists. The College’s Board of Trustees will make the final selection at a future Board meeting.

The C Classroom Building was constructed between 1964 and 1966 to meet the growing demand for classroom space just a few years after the College relocated from its original home in the Grand Army of the Republic Hall on College Street. Funded in part by a $500,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the building was added as a new wing to the existing classroom and administration facility. It later underwent significant renovations in 2010 to modernize the space.

Today, the four-story building is a hub of activity, home to classrooms, health simulation labs, student lounges and numerous faculty and administrative offices.
