Seven Kellogg Community College bowlers earned postseason athletic awards from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and/or National Junior College Athletic Association for their performance this season.
KCC women’s bowling postseason award winners include:
- Sophomore Olivia Butler (Homer/Homer High School), MCCAA Western Conference Bowler of the Year, MCCAA All-Western Conference Team
- Freshman Faith Hebenstreit (Olivet/Olivet High School), All-MCCAA Team, MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team
- Sophomore Emily Lemon (Marshall/Marshall High School), MCCAA All-Western Conference Team
- Freshman Zoey Stone (Marshall/Marshall High School), NJCAA Region XII Division II All-Region Team, All-MCCAA Team, MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team
The women’s team this year finished the season eighth in the nation at the NJCAA National Championships the first weekend in March. The team in February secured the first MCCAA Western Conference Championship title in program history, took third in the state MCCAA Championship and finished second at the NJCAA Region XII Championship.
KCC men’s bowling postseason award winners include:
- Sophomore Cameron McKee (Battle Creek/Lakeview High School), NJCAA Region XII Division II All-Region Team, MCCAA All-Western Conference Team
- Freshman Miles Lipsey (Hastings/Hastings High School), MCCAA All-Western Conference Team, MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team
- Freshman Leeland Murphy (Marshall/Marshall High School), MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshman Team
The men’s team finished 13th in the country at nationals after a second place conference finish, fourth place state finish and second place finish at regionals.
