Free Kellogg Kickstart program offers eligible students paid stipend, free meals to prepare for classes

A woman smiles while holding and pointing to a sign with the Kellogg Kickstart logo on it, on a graphic with text on it that reads, “A free head start on college! Free to join! July 7-Aug. 13, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m. More info at kellogg.edu/kickstart. Enrolling for summer now!”

Kellogg Community College is accepting applications now for its free Kellogg Kickstart program designed to give new students a head start on college.

The program is open to anyone who has not received a C grade or better in college-level English or math and who has not taken First Year Seminar (FYS 101). A high school diploma or GED is required to participate in the program.

The Summer 2026 Kellogg Kickstart program will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 7 through Aug. 13, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek.
