Kellogg Community College planted a new pollinator wildflower garden at the College’s Grahl Center campus in Coldwater in May.
The project was a collaborative effort involving KCC, the KCC Foundation, the Branch Area Careers Center’s Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Program and the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary.
BACC students planted the garden and built a walking path using supplies provided by the BACC, while the Sunrise Rotary provided a Rotary Bench. Quincy-based Lukazcek Excavating and Drainage removed the brush and cleared the area for planting and construction.
The new garden – which joins similar gardens on campuses in Battle Creek and Hastings – is free and open to the public year-round for rest and relaxation on campus.
