Pre-admission sessions for KCC health programs run Dec. 3-6

KCC students wait in line to begin a nursing orientation session in August.

Kellogg Community College is holding free pre-admission sessions next week for individuals interested in nursing and other health career programs.

Pre-Admission Nursing Sessions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3; 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 4; and 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 6. Pre-Admission Allied Health Sessions – featuring information about KCC’s Dental Hygiene, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Laboratory Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant and Radiography programs – will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 5.

Applicants to KCC’s health career programs are selectively admitted each semester. These pre-admission sessions will highlight the program admission process, information about prerequisites and general education courses and what to expect while in school.

“These sessions are a great way for students interested in pursuing a health career to gain a better understanding of each of these fields,” said Christine VandenBerg, director of Allied Health at KCC. “Being more knowledgeable about each profession may help potential students decide which career better suits their aspirations.”

Seating for each pre-admission session is limited and individuals must RSVP to secure a place. Those interested in attending a Pre-Admission Nursing Session should RSVP online at www.kellogg.edu/admissions/nursing.html. Those interested in attending a Pre-Admission Allied Health Session should RSVP online at www.kellogg.edu/admissions/alliedhealth.html.
