KCC women’s basketball signs Kimi Rook, of Kalamazoo

Kimi Rook, of Kalamazoo, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s basketball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins this season.

Rook, a graduate of Mattawan High School, was a three year varsity basketball player in high school, an Honor Roll student and longtime member of the Kalamazoo Heat Elite basketball program in Kalamazoo.

“Kimi is a very versatile player, a very quick guard that will help with our press,” said Kyle Klingaman, head coach of KCC’s women’s basketball team. “We’re very happy she’s playing for KCC.”

KCC’s women’s basketball team begins scrimmaging in October. The team’s first official game of the season will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, against Sinclair Community College at the Miller Gym on campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek.
