Lakeview High School senior Kollin Johnson dual enrolled in Kellogg Community College’s Advanced Manufacturing Assembly (KAMA) Training Program this fall, finishing up a portion of the manufacturing training segment of the program earlier this month.

Johnson, 18, plans to continue his education at KCC to become an electrician. In addition to becoming familiar with the College’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center campus – which houses the College’s Industrial Trades programs, including the Industrial Electricity & Electronics Program – through KAMA training, Johnson took a tour of the RMTC last year.

He says he enjoyed his time in the KAMA Program, where he and others built cars on a working assembly line and tested them on ramps for quality.

“I liked it,” Johnson says. “It was really fun working with a team to accomplish getting faster and to get better quality out of the cars.”
