  • Kellogg Community College’s Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) mobile trainer is featured in the February 2013 edition of Popular Science.
  • Kellogg Community College’s recent decision to to allow anyone who has lived in the college’s service area for at least a year or who graduated from a local high school to pay the in-district tuition rate, including undocumented immigrants, continues to receive attention in the media. WWMT Newschannel 3 stopped by KCC yesterday to interview KCC President Dr. Dennis Bona and Vice President for Student Services Dr. Kay Keck on camera about the decision, and aired the report last night on television. In an editorial posted yesterday titled, “KCC makes right call on tuition for local immigrants,” the Battle Creek Enquirer wrote that the decision is sound education policy and that, “Kellogg Community College deserves credit for its leadership on this issue.” The issue was also picked up by WMUK and mentioned on their website.
  • The Battle Creek Enquirer also mentioned Kellogg Community College in an article about the Albion Community Foundation, writing that the foundation hopes to use the resources and assistance of KCC “to drive home the insistence that preparing for college starts early.”
