Anorah Seita of Battle Creek has signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Kellogg Community College and will begin playing for the Bruins next season.
Seita, a pitcher, attended Galesburg-Augusta High School, where she received the offensive MVP award her junior and senior years. An all-region, all-district and all-area softball player, Seita also excelled in the classroom as an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society.
Darrick Brown, head softball coach at KCC, said Seita will have an instant positive impact on the college’s softball program.
“Nori has a high-level bat with a nice combination of power and hitting for average,” Brown said, adding that Seita will likely be the team’s No. 1 pitcher. “She is very good at changing speeds and keeping hitters off balance. Nori is a very hard worker on the field and in the classroom, as well.”
