Dr. Dennis Bona, president of Kellogg Community College, released the following statement today regarding the results of the Nov. 4 KCC Board of Trustees election.
“I am heartened that more than 12,000 voters decided to cast ballots in the KCC Board of Trustees election. The sheer number of voters shows that people in the KCC tax district care deeply about KCC and its future success. Such active voter participation also reaffirms my belief that the College is vital to the people in this region of Michigan and is a respected provider of higher education.
“I offer my sincere congratulations to the three winners of Tuesday’s election, including trustee-elect Patrick O’Donnell and incumbents Reba Harrington and Jonathan Byrd. I eagerly look forward to working with the Board on the many opportunities that await KCC in the near and long terms.
“I also thank Trustee Brian Hice for his service and contributions to this fine institution and to the Board of Trustees over the years. I will miss the professionalism, statesmanship and positive energy that he exuded as a representative of KCC.”
