Kellogg Community College’s 2017 women’s volleyball season kicks off this week with the Bruins’ first home match of the season.
KCC’s 2017 women’s team will take on conference opponent Lake Michigan College beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek. The Fieldhouse is the Bruins’ current home while the College’s new Miller Physical Education Building is undergoing construction.
Admission is free for KCC students and employees with current KCC IDs and is $3 per person for the general public.
This year’s team includes 11 players, including five returning sophomores, and the season includes eight home matches in Battle Creek. The regular season runs through Tuesday, Oct. 24.
The KCC Bruins wrapped up their 2016 season with a 2-14 conference record in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association and a 4-23 record overall.
