KCC baseball falls 10-3 to Davenport JV

The Kellogg Community College baseball team fell 10-3 Monday against Davenport University’s JV team in Caledonia.

On offense for the Bruins, freshman Andrew Hamilton (Vicksburg/Vicksburg High School) hit 1-2 at the plate, racking up an RBI.

At the mound, right-handed sophomore Bennet Norry (Grand Rapids/Kenowa Hills High School) pitched one inning, allowing zero runs and striking out two. Right-handed freshman Ethan Eldridge (Battle Creek/Lakeview High School) also pitched one inning, striking out three.

The loss brings the Bruins’ record for the season so far to 9-4.

The team returns to Battle Creek later this week for the first home games of the season, a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, against conference opponent Ancilla College at Bailey Park.
