The continued success of the Kellogg Community College baseball team continues to draw attention after the team’s recent 21-game winning streak and second-place-in-the-nation ranking in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association poll.
Earlier this week, the team was featured in an article on the front page of the Battle Creek Enquirer Sports section, and last night the team was featured on WWMT Newschannel 3. See the WWMT video embedded below.
WWMT notes that KCC has a team batting average of .376, with 11 players hitting over .300 and six hitting over .370. The team’s overall record for the season so far is 30-5; the team’s conference record still stands at a perfect 16-0.
The Bruins play next at 2 p.m. today, Friday, April 27, against conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, then plays GRCC again at home starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Bailey Park in Battle Creek.
