KCC baseball wins three of four against Muskegon, preps for postseason play

The Kellogg Community College baseball team prepped for postseason play with three wins against conference opponent Muskegon Community College this past weekend.

The Bruins, who’ve secured the Michigan Community College Athletic Association championship title, won two away games against MCC Friday and split wins with the Jayhawks at home Saturday.

  • Saturday, May 5, Game 2 (home): KCC 10, MCC 3

After wrapping up regular season play with a nine-inning home game against Ivy Tech Community College this afternoon, the Bruins will take on MCCAA Eastern Conference champions Lansing Community College in the MCCAA State Championship game starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Davenport University in Caledonia.

The latest results bring the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 38-6; the team’s final conference record landed at a near perfect 23-1.
