Kellogg Community College’s Grahl Center campus in Coldwater will welcome students back to campus and celebrate 25 years of operation with a special event next week on campus.
The KCC Grahl Center Welcome Event and 25-Year Celebration will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the center, which is located at at 125 Seeley St.
The anniversary celebration will double as the center’s annual welcome-back event for students. The event is free and open to the public, but giveaways – including the free taco bar lunch and free KCC T-shirts – and prize drawings will only be available to students with a current KCC ID.
Anniversary cookies and cake will be available for all attendees in celebration of the center’s 25th year. Mark O’Connell, who was the center’s first director and is retiring from KCC at the end of this year, will also make an appearance at the event.
The Grahl Center – one of four regional centers operated by KCC – has served thousands of students since its founding in 1994. An average of 500 to 700 students enroll in more than 50 courses at the center each semester.
