The Kellogg Community College women’s basketball team won its latest away game 58-56 against Lansing Community College on Saturday.
Leading the Bruins on the court were freshman Lexi Parsons, who had 13 points and 8 rebounds; freshman Kalista Hubbart, who had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists; freshman Audrey DeWaters, who had 9 points and 11 rebounds; and sophomore Jess Genier, who had 9 points.
“We hung in there at the end to secure a nice road win in our first conference game of the season. It was a good all-around team effort,” Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “Our next game is at home on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. versus KVCC. Go Lady Bruins!”
The recent win brings the Bruins’ overall record for the season so far to 7-5; the team’s conference record is 1-0.
The team plays next starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, against conference opponent Kalamazoo Valley Community College at the Miller Gym on campus in Battle Creek.
