Women’s bowling team finishes second in regionals, heads to national championship Feb. 29

Kellogg Community College’s women’s bowling team built on the success of the program’s first state championship in program history with a second-place finish at the National Junior College Athletic Association Region XII Championship Feb. 16.

KCC’s NJCAA Region XII women’s team members competing at the tournament, held at Royal Scot in Lansing, include:

  • Sophomore Abigail Grimm (Climax/Homer High School)
  • Sophomore Gillian Lemon (Marshall/Marshall High School)
  • Freshman Isabelle Pachan (Bellevue/Olivet High School)
  • Freshman Brooklyn Page (Three Rivers/Three Rivers High School)
  • Sophomore Brianna Pawloski (Olivet/Olivet High School)

In addition to contributing to the runner-up team finish, Pachan was the Women’s Singles Champion, while Grimm and Page finished third in Doubles.

The men’s team also competed, finishing seventh in their respective tournament.  

The women’s team will finish the season at the NJCAA Women’s Bowling Championship – the national tournament – running this Thursday, Feb. 29, through March 2, also at Royal Scot.
