The deadline to apply for Kellogg Community College’s 2026-27 Radiography Program cohort is May 21.
The program is a two-year, full-time program that leads successful graduates to an Associate in Applied Science degree in Radiography and eligibility to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination.
The KCC Radiography Program prepares students to become registered radiologic technologists (radiographers), health care professionals qualified to take X-rays and provide associated patient care in health care settings.

- Clinical experience: KCC Radiography students participate in more than 1,400 hours of clinical work at one of KCC’s seven local partner hospitals in Battle Creek, Coldwater, Hastings, Kalamazoo or Marshall.
- Nationally accredited: The KCC Radiography Program is nationally accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), ensuring a high-quality educational experience.
- Career options: Students who graduate from the KCC Radiography Program have the unique opportunity to cross-train and obtain additional credentials in related health care fields including CT, MRI, mammography, interventional radiography and more.
According to the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data, the median annual wage for radiologic technologists and technicians is $77,660.
- Salary range: The lowest 10% earned less than $52,360, while the highest 10% earned more than $106,990.
- Top paying industries: Radiologic technologists working in outpatient care centers often earn higher salaries, with some ranging between $65,000 and $85,000.
- Specialization boost: Those who add specializations like MRI can earn a median of $88,180 per year, which is roughly $10,500 more than general radiologic technologists.
- Job outlook: Employment for these roles is projected to grow 5% from 2024 to 2034, faster than the average for all occupations.
The KCC Radiography Program boasts a 100% program completion rate, and 100% of program graduates seeking work surveyed were employed in the field within 12 months of graduation.
