Kellogg Community College’s women’s soccer team continued to struggle on the road this past week with a pair of shutout losses against two conference opponents. The Bruins fell 9-0 to Delta College Wednesday and 8-0 to Jackson College on Saturday.

Wednesday, Sept. 25: Delta 9, KCC 0
KCC took another hard loss to top-ranked Delta last week after falling to the Pioneers at home earlier this month.
Nine Bruins played all 90 minutes of the game, including freshman goalkeeper La’Angel Eubanks (Flint/Carmen-Ainsworth), who had 22 saves.
Saturday, Sept. 28: Jackson 8, KCC 0
The Bruins were again shut down on Saturday by Jackson College in Jackson, unable to score despite 12 shots on goal.
Nine Bruins played all 90 minutes of the game, including freshman goalkeeper Cacey Hirleman (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School), who had 19 saves. Forward Baylee Willis (East Leroy/Climax-Scotts High School) had four shots on goal.

The Bruins have the week off to rest before taking on Lake Michigan College starting at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Benton Harbor. KCC’s next home starts at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, against Schoolcraft College. Admission to the game, as with all KCC home games, is free.
