Recent acquisitions of training equipment at Kellogg Community College’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center trades campus are expanding training opportunities for trades students!

New equipment includes:

  • A W.F. Wells band saw, which will support metal cutting and fabrication training
  • A Clausing Colchester 15-inch lathe, which will expand precision machining and hands-on practice opportunities
  • A five-ton overhead crane, which will strengthen industrial lab capabilities and safety

Dr. Handel Fraser, chair and director of Industrial Trades, said these investments will help align KCC’s industrial trades instruction with modern workforce expectations, safer operations and stronger student preparation.
