The Kellogg Community College women’s volleyball team lost a tight match against conference opponent Lansing Community College at home in Battle Creek Tuesday, falling in five sets 25-21, 22-25, 21-25, 26-24 and 10-15, respectively.
Sophomore Cortney Pipher, of Battle Creek, had 37 assists, six digs and four block assists; freshman Tristen Ehredt, of Battle Creek, had 19 kills and one block; sophomore Jessica Woods, of Marshall, had nine kills, one ace and two blocks; and freshman Rebecca Browning, of Rockwood, had nine kills and five blocks.
The loss brings the Bruins’ MCCAA Western Conference record to 1-2; their overall record for the season so far is 3-8. The team plays next tonight against conference opponent Muskegon Community College beginning at 5 p.m. Muskegon.
