KCC seeks runners for new men’s and women’s cross-country teams

KCC cross-country runners run around Spring Lake.

Kellogg Community College is looking to add runners to the College’s brand-new men’s and women’s cross-country teams.

The teams were added to the College’s roster of athletics programs this fall as part of a new strategic vision for the KCC Athletics Department, which includes a new Miller Physical Education Building, five new sports teams and potential for new associate degree programs.

The College’s new cross-country teams began practicing early this month. Their season officially opens Friday, Aug. 31, with the Comet Open at Broadway Acres Golf Course in Charlotte.

Individuals interested in running for KCC’s Bruins this season should contact Head Coach Erin Lane at 269-965-4151 or crosscountrycoach@kellogg.edu. Prospective athletes must be high school graduates enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at KCC for the Fall 2018 semester.
