StudyBlue data: Students with smartphones study more

Data mined from the a user base nearly 1 million strong for maker of online and mobile study tools StudyBlue offers interesting insights into the way students — at least those in StudyBlue’s user base — are learning using mobile technology. According to StudyBlue, for instance:

  • Students with smartphones are twice as likely to study between the hours of 6 and 8 a.m.
  • Students studying on mobile devices are almost three times more likely to track their progress.
  • Mobile studiers study 40 more minutes each week by studying everywhere they go.
