Kellogg Community College invites the public to celebrate the College’s 60th anniversary with a free, family-friendly KCC Homecoming event in April.
The KCC Homecoming event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, on the field immediately to the east of the soccer field at the north end of KCC’s campus at 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. Admission and activities are free and open to the public, and food will be available for purchase from onsite food trucks.
Events and activities will include carnival games and inflatables for kids; entertainment provided by a DJ; a Club Cup competition featuring current KCC students from various student organizations; an instrument petting zoo and cardio drumming activities provided by the Music Center of South Central Michigan; and the Music Center’s Community Music School 5K Zombie Run/Walk.
The KCC Homecoming event is one of a continuing series of events commemorating the 60th anniversary of the College, which was founded as Battle Creek Community College in 1956. From the first graduating class of just 18 students in 1958, the college now serves more than 10,000 students each year from campuses in Battle Creek, Albion, Coldwater and Hastings, as well as online.
