Dual-enrolled Lakeview High School senior Nicholas Price says he’s thinking about training at Kellogg Community College after high school on his path to becoming a machinist.

Price, 18, will be familiar with the KCC once he graduates from Lakeview this spring, as he’ll also be a graduate of the College’s Advanced Manufacturing Assembly (KAMA) Training Program.

Price and other members of his KAMA cohort finished up a portion of the manufacturing training segment of the program last week at KCC’s Regional Manufacturing Technology Center in Battle Creek.

The training was like “studying my future,” Price says.

“Without this I really didn’t know what I wanted to do after high school,” he says. “This really helped me make up my mind.”
