Kellogg Community College’s women’s basketball team lost its latest away game 69-40 Wednesday against conference opponent Grand Rapids Community College.
Leading the Bruins on the court were Destiny Kincaide (Chicago, IL/Hyde Park Academy), who had 15 points, and Sarah Gwinn (Jackson/Jackson Northwest), who had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
“We played well in the first half and only trailed by 7 at halftime,” KCC’s Head Women’s Basketball Coach Dic Doumanian said. “The second half we came out flat and just never recovered offensively. It is a step forward though and hopefully we can take another step Saturday at home versus Lansing.”
The Bruins’ next home game starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, against conference opponent Lansing Community College at the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse, 162 Champion St., Battle Creek.
