Youth day camps offered at the center this summer include:

Kids Chemistry Camp (ages 8-12, $50)
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20

Explore the fascinating world of chemistry! Learn about different chemicals, how they react and their impact on the world around us. As chemists, we will conduct a variety of experiments that include making goo, creating volcanic eruptions and more!

CPR & First Aid Camp (ages 12-18, $70)
1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25

Do you babysit or plan to become a babysitter? Are you a Boy or Girl Scout looking to earn a new badge? Do you want to be prepared to help when a medical emergency arises? Then this hands-on camp is for you! This American Health Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR camp will teach the basics of first aid and CPR skills. We will cover treatments for medical and environmental emergencies, injuries and CPR skills, with a focus on child and infant CPR and obstructed airway techniques. You will learn from KCC EMS instructors and train on the College’s state-of-the-art equipment. Plus, you will receive an AHA Certificate of Completion at the end of camp.

Edible Art Camp (ages 8-12, $35)
9 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 11

We can have our art and eat it too! Join us for this unique camp where food meets art. We will make sugar wafer pencil cookies, paint with cool whip, make fruit loop sand art, create edible mosaics, enjoy fruity pebble parfaits and more. Take your skills home to become an artist in the kitchen!

Watercolor Wonder Camp (ages 8-12, $35)
9 a.m. to noon Monday, July 15

In this fun new camp, we will use the wonder of water to create beautiful art pieces! From watercolor fireworks to a sea turtle and hot air balloons, you will use unique resources like salt, lemon juice and rubbing alcohol for some cool, abstract effects. You’ll leave camp with a collection of artworks to create a gallery at home.
