Two programs of study new to KCC this fall are Sports Management and Exercise Science. Both programs are structured to lead to employment upon graduation or are transferable to four-year colleges and universities. High school graduates and dual-enrolled students are encouraged to take a look at both.

“I’m very excited,” stated Program Coordinator Eieri Jordan Salivia. “We think these are two key programs for the physical education and wellness industry in this area. They can be very beneficial for anyone interested in sports.”

Sports Management

An associate degree in Sports Management can lead to a job in marketing and promotion, facilities management and operations, plus coaching and scouting, among others. This degree can transfer into majors such as sports management, leadership or business.

Exercise Science

Students with their Exercise Science degree can seek employment as a personal trainer or coach. It can also be used for managing and teaching classes in fitness and wellness. Transfer programs would include exercise science, physical education and physical therapy. This program has a heavy dose of science classes, including anatomy and physiology.
